Question:

Can I add a different note for each date in the Appointments calendar?

Answer:

You can add a “Daily Note” in the appointments calendar, just click on the date in question and click on “Daily Note” at the bottom of the screen. You can record your note for that day & click Save. It appears green after you save the note.

Question:

Can I record if a person does not turn up for their appointment?

Answer:

In the waiting room you can highlight the patient in the “Expected” queue and click on “Did not attend” along the left to mark them as DNA.

Question:

Can I send SMS messages from Socrates Consultant to patients?

Answer:

Once you sign up for a SMS bundle (contact the helpdesk for details) you can send SMS messages from a number of areas including Episodes & the Communication section.

Question:

Can I view future appointments for a patient?

Answer:

If you go to “Patient Details” and in the Appointments section click on the tab “Future Appointments” you can see any appointments booked for this patient in the future.

Question:

Can I record in the Appointments calendar if the Consultant is unavailable for a full day?
Answer:

You can create an “All Day event” on the Appointments calendar. Simply double click under the date along the top and the “All Day event” dialog appears. Enter in a reason & select a colour if required and Save.

Question:

How can I attach a file to a patients Episode?

Answer:

If you go to “My Control Panel\Document Management system” you can then click on “Find Patient” in the top left corner. Search for the patient in question. Then click on the “Attach” button at the bottom of the screen. This allows you to browse to any file on your pc that you wish to associate with this patient. You can also access these files directly from the patient’s Episode in the “Documents” section.

 

Question:

I have added a note in error, can I delete it?

Answer:

To delete a note just highlight the note in question by clicking on it and press “Delete” on your keyboard. You will be asked “Are you sure you want to delete the selected Note”, click “Yes”.

 

Question:

Can I print a label from a Patients Episode?

Answer:

Yes, just click on “Patient” at the top of the screen and click “Print Label”. You can also print a label in the same way from the Patient Accounts section and Patient Details.

 

Question:

Can I edit a form I have already added?
Answer:

You can edit a form already added to a patient’s Episode by going to “Episodes\Documents\Forms”, highlight the form in question and click “Edit” along the bottom of the screen.

 

Question:

How can I create a new Appointment Type and colour code it?

Answer:

Go to “My Control Panel\Admin Console\Appointment Types”. Click on the “New” button along the top. Enter a name, duration, select a colour and click “Save”.

 

Question:

Is there a way I can quickly search through invoices?

Answer:

Go to "Patient Centre" and click on "payment centre". From here you can search invoices by patient name, invoice number or invoice date.  you can enter payments or print an invoice or receipt.

 

Question:

Can I set a task or reminder for myself or a colleague?

Answer:

On the righthand side of the screen you will see a tab called "My Tasks". here you can create new task to one or more people and set reminders if you wish.

 

Question:

Can I quickly view the availability on a given date when adding an appointment from the patient Episodes screen?

Answer:

In a patients Episode, click on "Create Appointment" along the top.  The "Add appointment" window opens. you will see a small button beside the "Time" dropdown with a magnifying glass icon on it, click on this to view the consultants availability on the selected date and time.

 

Question:

Can I jump to the Episode's screen when I am viewing a patients details?

Answer:

When viewing a patients details, click on the "Episodes" link near the top left corner of the screen to jump to this section.

 

Question:

What do I do if i have created the same patient twice?

Answer:

In the patient centre, you can click on "pateint merge" and merge the 2 patients together, so you only  have one patient moving forward. No patient data will be lost during the merge.  Be careful to merge the correct patients as a patient merge is irreversible.

 

Question

Is there a quicker way for me to add a letter or a form, instead of having to go into the episode document section?

Answer:
Yes, they can be sent from a patient’s episode, account or patients details. At the top of each section click on ‘Quick Add’.  Adding a letter or form is two of the options that can be selected form here. 

 

 

Question:

Can I create new Note templates?

Answer:
Yes, click on ‘My Control Panel’, then on the left hand side under ‘Options’ click ‘Note Templates’.  From there click ‘New’, you can link it to a ICD code if you need, types out the note template you want and then click ‘Save’.
 

 

 

Question:

Can I create my own procedure codes?

Answer:
Yes, click on ‘My Control Panel’, then on the left hand side under ‘Options’ click ‘Procedures’.  From there click on ‘New’, fill in a code, a name and a fee. If this procedure needs WHoldingTax and Multiple tick them.  Click ‘Save’.

 

 

Question:

Can I send a text message from Socrates Consultant?

Answer:
Yes, they can be sent from patient’s episode, account or patients details. In any of these sections up at the top bar click ‘Patient’ and then click ‘Send SMS’. You can select a template if you want or types out a message. Click ‘Send’.

 

 

 

Question:

Can I create a new SMS template?

Answer:
Yes , click on ‘My Control Panel’, then on the left hand side under ‘Options’ click ‘SMS Templates’.  From there click ‘New’, types out the message template you want and then click ‘Save’.
