How can I send text messages to my patients?

Firstly you need to setup an SMS account on www.esendex.ie which will then provide you with account details. These details are then used to activate the SMS section of Socrates and you will then be free to send a text message to a patient.

Can I download lab Result from my local hospital ?

In most cases yes if the hospital has a system installed to export the results a system like Healthlink for example, it will depend on your locality. A member of the Socrates support team will be able to help you out if your not sure. The export system e.g. Healthlink will set you up with an account so you can download the results to the clinic. Socrates will then process the messages into the patient's charts leaving a list of processed investigation highlighting abnormal exams. Please call the Socrates support team for Lab message training before proceeding.

Will all my data from my old system come over in the upgrade to Socrates ?

Yes we migrate data from GP Clinical, Dynamic gp, Health One, GP Mac and Clinical Objects.

Can I print off labels for blood bottles ?

Yes by using a Dymo label printer you can highlight the patient in Socrates and print numerous labels for the lab.

I charged a patient by mistake; can I delete the incorrect charge ?

Yes, highlight the incorrect charge from within the patients account and press the delete key on the keyboard.

I would like to colour code our different appointment types e.g. Immunisation (green), follow up (blue), examination (red), it this possible ?

Yes it's a client preference so not everyone has to use the colours if they don't want to. The colours can be set from My control panel-Admin console-System types and from here you can change your appointment types colour codes.

Can I set reminders on tasks I assign to a member of staff ?

Yes, when you are creating a task and assigning it to a user there's an option box "reminder" and you can set the number of minutes before the task is to begin for a reminder for example if you select 5 minutes the notification will pop up 5 minutes before your task is due to begin.

Can I print out a list of consultation notes ?

Yes, from within the notes section you can highlight the notes you would like printed and click the print notes button along the left hand side.

I scanned a letter and saved it to the wrong patient, what do I do now ?

There is an option with the DMS section to transfer scans from incorrect chart to the correct chart.

Is it possible to keep a stock control of Immunisations ?

Yes from v1.5 stock control on immunisations is now possible, a prompt will also inform you when the stock is low.
